When I turned on the Argo's / Bombers game (September 12,2008) I was wondering who I was watching. No names and no team logos. Colors that I had never seen before. Argos has white helments and I think the Bombers were black. The only name loud and clear was RONA. Does anyone know what this was all about

Yes Rumbleseat, it has gotten out of hand. I guess they do it to sell merch. The Riders sold hundreds of thousands worth of their '60's retro stuff.

I know it was the NFL, but the Denver retro jerseys on Sunday were as ugly as the Vancouver Canuck Halloween jerseys of the ealy '80's.

Originally I thought it was a one-time celebration. In my opinion, it is a good idea to have a retro week every year, and I think it should be fixed for the all-star week every year. The only retro games outside that week should be for celebrations, like 50th, 100th, 125th, etc anniversaries of teams.
It's going to be a long time before Ottawa gets to wear retro gear unless they someday get to use the Rough Riders name and logo again (Looks like hen Horn wants too much money for it). Of course, we still have to see if a team, likely called the Renegades, actially hits the field for 2012.

There seems to be retro jerseys all over the place this year. CFL, NFL and NHL.
I do like the 60's Rider retro jersey.

Personally, I liked the jerseys, both of them. It was strange seeing no logo on the helmet, though.

Retro ugly. Were the uniforms that bad years ago. Guess "old timers" is kicking in.

Actually it was mentioned a few times, starting at the beginning. Those were retro uniforms. Part of the celebration of retro week was the outfitting of the crew of Dunigan, Suitor, et al in retro outfits.
